haha..this time,i'm back from the philippines mission trip.wonderful time..experiencing more of God,more zealous,more passionate for Him now.Here's a brief description of wat we did,the 1st two days,we had evangelistic outreaches at two different villages.it was an eye opener!!
on the first day,helu gave his testimony,we did a skit,sang a song and den uncle william preached.den it was time for altar call.after the salvation altar call,it was time for the healing part.initially,i was rather daoubtful of my faith ,like wat if God didn't wanna answer my prayers.so it tot me to pray God's will and i remembered the verse my dad was sharin with my bro and i weeks before the mission trip,
Luke 10:19-20,19I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
with this verse,i prayed in faith...asking for not my will but God's will to be done.Lo and behold,ther first lady i prayed for,was also the first lady who gave a testimony!!Praise God!!!we are nv too young to pray for the sick.we are all given this authority when we believe in God.
ooh...den on monday,we attended a wedding there.very interesting man..the way it's done.unlike our culture.wanna hear more??ask me!!haha...dunno how to type it out.and we saw like 4 funeral processions.hahaha...and we celebrated a birthday there.interesting isn't it??
on monday,after the wedding,we brought the children out.u cld see their faces.all light up with joy..excitement.they really are happy when they get to go out,have a good meal...and get some love from us.yup.they're abandoned,orphans and they just enjoy the lil hugs and attn u shower on em.
on tuesday,pastor william had to conduct a pastors' training,so while waiting for him,all of us sat in the tricycle and went to the market.ooh...stuff there are cheap..but nothing much to buy cos they dun really suit us.it's the market afterall.after touring the market,we went to play billiard.yeah..it costs only 7pesos per game.so why not?since singapore is so costly.(fyi,S$1 = 32.75 pesos)yup..after lunch,we brought some of the youthes out.went to some late president's residential.wah!!!it's huge i shld say!!and the rooms..are all filled with mirror!!gee..i wonder why.haha...and after tt...we went to have dinner.it was great fellowship.yupyup...
on wednesday...hmmm....wat did we do??er....okie..i cannot remember.haha...gotta check my programmes..i only remember tt in the evening,we went to the cell grp.ooh!!we went to visit some of the churches...and den visit criselda.yupyup...
and i spoke to ELMAR!!hehe....okie...ya..and for almost every night,we'll have some bonding sessions with the youths.stayed up late for games.was fun!!on the last night,we stayed up almost the whole night.haha...can't wait to go back again!mosre pictures to come.and if u wanna see our interesting pics and clips,come for YPM!!hehe..

Friday, June 03, 2005 my 1st bday cake of the yr.heh...nice hor? the usual..blow cake... and the cake was super difficult to cut. my cousins and I after cell.see..all fat fat one.haha my 2nd bday cake..mmm...YUMMY!!!and Sweet!!! all my bday presents for the day!!!ooh.....still got more i think.haha... oops!i forgot the sunflower and honey sticks!! not clear enuff..well...here's th sunshine!!!very well taken eh?heh.. and an upclose pic of the honey sticks!yup..still haven't eat it.'she bu de'. besides the ROYCE chocs from mel & all,got this from justin,all de way from swiss!!!boy..am i gonna get fat feeding on chocs man!!hehehe... a box,filled with letters from PWG..or if u wan,F4.but PWG nicer la.haha... the envelope matt used to put the card in.nice right??i like the way Joanna's designed.very nice!!hehehe.. this was taken before i went for Dinner with the gals!! i was away in Port Dickson from 04-06-05 to 10-06-05,for my Church's Annual Bible Camp.
this yr's bible camp is by far the best tt i've attended!although the speaker is horrible,and i dun like him,the fellowship,bonding sessions,and encouragements were great!!
being in charge of the games and tournaments,i was initially very worried. "Wat if they found wat i organised boring?" "wat if noone wanted to participate?" "how do i make sure tt everything just goes smoothly??"---well..i prayed really hard and i really thank God for Grace who gave me the many suggestions.really,w/o her help,i'll really be at a loss.
The most encouraging game was the scavenger hunt played during dinner time on wednesday.dinner was longer den usual,it started earlier because we had fast and pray in the afternoon,hence,everyone didn't have any lunch.why was it encouraging? because i didn't expect the adults to actually be so enthusiastic about participating..neither did i expect the ypmers to be so on.it's like...they were so supportive of me,instead of showing attitude and tot (since joanna's organising,aiya...den dun need to play la)...like..well..some other events tt if i can,will not even take up.i will not mention the events because i know there are pple reading this blog.
so....it's been fun,i not only bonded with my peers from YPM,i even got to know,interact and joke with the adults as well as parents.being in the committee this yr allowed me to see the many differnt types of pple in a church.yes...call us CHristians,but u dun realise,tt Christians are humans as well..and we err at times since we aren't Jesus himself.we can only mould ourselves to be more like him,to look upon him as our role models,but we're definitely NOT SINLESS humans. so..yup...it's been an eye opener..and it has taught me to become a better HR or PR personnel.
great to be praised/complimented by them as well..because truly den will u realise tt ur efforts are not in vain and it's from their praises/compliments and even feedbacks tt u know how to improve further.
it's been tiring,being in the com,spending lesser time with my peers but it has definitely taught me to be more selfless- to choose between my responsibilities and having fun with my peers.there were the ups and downs in the com as well...but yes,things worked out right in the end.
will post more pics in time to come. probably when i'm back from my philippines mission trip. so in case u guys wonder where i disappeared to again,well..let me tell u first,i'll be away in Philippines for 9 days - 16-25 June.so dun miss me k?in the mean time,i'll try to update my blog again!haha...taiwei,u better tag me the moment u read this!!see,i've updated my blog!!! *gRinz*
